Location and nearby attractions:

Just a short walk up the nearby Via XXVI Maggio, you’ll find yourself on one of the original seven hills of Rome, Quirinal Hill, which boasts a breathtaking view of the Vatican and all of Rome. In addition, here you’ll find the Quirinal Palace, the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic and historically, before 1871, the official residence of the Pope.

Additionally, Via Nazionale is filled with numerous shops and restaurants, as well as easy access to the city’s most famous sites through the bus stops and the Repubblica Metro entrance (line A) at the top of Via Nazionale.

To find your way to Piazza Venezia, take the 70 bus (toward Clodio). Exit after 3 stops at Piazza Venezia. Afterward, you may walk along Via dei Fori Imperiali to arrive at the ancient Imperial Forum and the world-famous arena, the Colosseum.

To reach Piazza Navona, famous for its fountains and artists, take the 64 bus (toward Piazza Stazione San Pietro). Exit after 4 stops. From here, Campo de Fiori, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the bohemian neighborhood of Trastevere will all be within walking distance (about 15 minutes).

To get to Vatican City, simply take the #40 bus (toward Piazza Pia/Castel Di Sant’Angelo) for five stops. Exit at Traspontina/Conciliazione and continue by foot down Via della Conciliazione – a great view of the Cupola.

To visit the Spanish Steps, walk to the top of Via Nazionale to the Repubblica Metro entrance and take the metro toward Battistini. Exit after two stops for Piazza di Spagna; or after three to visit Piazza del Popolo or Villa Borghese, one of Rome’s most beautiful parks.
