Location and nearby attractions:
The Monteverde area is a very peaceful, residential neighborhood of Rome. This community allows for one to live Italy’s capital as the Romans do. Quite nearby is the Trastevere quarter, is one neighborhood in Rome that maintains its distinct charm and character. Attracting artists, musicians, and bohemian spirits from the world over, Trastevere also is home to many great restaurants, artesian vendors, quaint shops and lively pubs. Trastevere is well connected by the #8 Tram which runs quite frequently along Viale di Trastevere. To reach the tram, take the # 44 bus (toward Piazza Venezia) from where Via Quattro Venti meeting Via Bonnet. Exit after 5 stops at Induno. From here, take the #8 Tram toward “Argentina” to Largo Torre Argentina, one of the main bus stops in Rome. The Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo de` Fiori are well within walking distance of Torre Argentina. To reach these same attractions, you may also choose to stay on the #44 for 8 stops and switch to the #30 bus (toward Clodio). Exit after 3 stops at Senato for an equally close walk. To get to Vatican City, begin on Via dei Quattro Venti with the #870 bus (toward Paola). Exit after 10 stops at Piazza della Rovere and continue by foot to the Vatican (by way of Via del Penitenzione and Borgo Santo Spirito). To find the Colosseum, take the #44 bus (toward Piazza Venezia). Exit after 5 stops at Induno. Then take the #3 bus toward (Thorvaldsen) for 8 stops. Exit at Colosseo. To reach the Trevi Fountain, take the #44 bus (toward Piazza Venezia) for 8 stops. Exit at Petroselli. Next take the #160 bus (toward San Silvestro) for an additional three stops. Exit at Corso/Minghetti. From here it is only a short walk down Via Minghetti, left on Via delle Vergine, to Via delle Muratte and finally the Trevi Fountain. To get to the Spanish Steps (though it may be easier to walk from the Trevi Fountain – Via del Corso to Via dei Condotti), you may also want to try taking the #44 bus (toward Venezia). Exit after 9 stops at Piazza Venezia. Next, take the #119 bus (toward Corso/Popolo). Exit after 7 stops for the Spanish Steps. Or, if you like, stay on until the end of the line for Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. Where to Eat & Drink – Rome is filled with thousands of great restaurants, but here are a few great places nearby your apartment: Café = 
 Anytime of day, Er Trasteverino is a perfect spot to stop for a quick bite... whether it's one of their homemade cornetti, salads and panini, gelato, or an
aperitivo. You can sit at an outside table, or take a panini to-go and enjoy the atmosphere of the nearby Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. a family run traditional Roman filled with local Romans who come for the good, unpretentious, traditional cuisine, pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. Outside tables on the Viale di Trastevere attract tourists as well as the locals. In addition to their pasta dishes. try the full-flavored chicken marinated with Gaeta olives. And, of course, one of their specialties is pannecotta, a cooked cream pudding to die for. The Italians like to top it with a chocolate-hazelnut cream, Nutella.
