Rome apartment for rent Rm-200 Via dei Barbieri

The apartment is located on the second floor of a beautiful building in the historic center. There are two separate levels to the apartment. On the lower level there's a large living room with a double sofa bed, a wide and gracious double bedroom, a large and well-equipped kitchen with a comfortable dining area and a bathroom. On the top level there is a bedroom with two single beds, and second with a double bed, and a second bathroom.. The location of the apartment ( only 200 meters from Campo de' Fiori) is among one of the best ones to visit the historical center on foot.

Location and nearby attractions:
To discover one of Rome’s most charming markets, you have only a short walk following Via dei Barbieri toward Via del Monte della Farina and finally to Via de Giubonnari which leads directly into Campo de` Fiori. Every morning except Sundays, Campo de` Fiori fills with vendors selling fresh fruit and vegetables and of course flowers (“fiori” in Italian). A great stop for breakfast before you head out to tour the eternal city. Piazza Navona, famous for its fountains and artists, is just across the street from Campo de` Fiori (Via Vittorio Emanuele II). From here, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps are also all within walking distance (about 15 minutes). The charming, bohemian neighborhood of Trastevere is also quite close – just a tram ride away. Walk up Via dei Barbieri to Largo Torre Argentina. From here take the #8 tram 3 stops to Trastevere. Or if weather permits, walk alongside the tram for a great view of Rome’s island, Tiburina. To visit to Vatican City, simply walk to Largo Torre Argentina (see above for further directions), take the #40 Bus (toward Piazza Pia/Castel S. Angelo). Exit after three stops at the Traspontina/Concilizione stop. Continue by foot down Via della Conciliazione – a great view of the Cupola. To reach the Colosseum, walk to Largo Torre Argentina. From here, take bus #87 (toward Colli Albani). After 6 stops, get off at the Labicana/Colosseo stop. To get to the Spanish Steps (though it may be easier to walk from the Trevi Fountain – Via del Corso to Via dei Condotti) you may also want to try walking to Largo Torre Argentina and taking the #119 bus (toward Corso/Popolo) for 9 stops. If you like, stay on the #119 until the end of the line, you’ll come to Piazza del Popolo and be only a short walk from one of Rome’s beautiful parks, Villa Borghese. Where to Eat & Drink – Rome is filled with thousands of great restaurants, but here are a few great places nearby your apartment: Café = There are many cafés located right in Campo de Fiori but if you’re looking for a more peaceful place to sip your cappuccino, find your way to the nearby Bar Farnese located in the spacious Piazza Farnese located only a short walk from the apartment. For Dinner or Lunch = Come to Sora Margherita for no frills, down home Roman cooking at a reasonable price. There's no sign, just a small door with red curtains. Inside you'll find a jumble of wooden tables and a sawdust-covered floor—and homemade pasta, gnocchi, and other comfort food worth the often-long wait. The menu offers classic Italian dishes like pasta and chickpea soup, tonnarelli cacio e pepe (thick spaghetti with grated cheese and black pepper), fried zucchini flowers, osso buco, and other Jewish specialties, including fried artichokes. Closed Mondays. Open for lunch. Dinner on Fridays and Saturdays only. 30 Piazza delle Cinque Scole. Tel. 06 687-4216 Drinks = Campo de' Fiori is one big drinking spot, but La Vineria wine bar was the first, and remains the best. Romans mix with visitors in La Vineria's bottle-lined interior or grab tables outside to watch the antics in this ever-bustling square. Open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m.–2 a.m.. 15 Campo de' Fiori, tel. 06 6880-3268
