Trastevere is one of the few neighborhoods in Rome that maintains its distinct charm and character. Attracting artists, musicians, and bohemian spirits from the world over, Trastevere also is home to many great restaurants, artesian vendors, quaint shops and lively pubs. Trastevere is well connected by the #8 Tram which runs quite frequently along Viale di Trastevere Trastevere (intersecting with Via Emilia Morosini, which runs through the end of Via San Cosimato). Take this toward “Argentina” to Largo Torre Argentina, one of the main bus stops in Rome. From here, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo de` Fiori are well within walking distance. Or if weather permits, walk alongside the tram for a great view of Rome’s island, Tiburina. To get to the Trevi Fountain, take the tram to Torre Argentina. Then take the #63 bus (toward Largo Pugliese) for four stops. Exit at Corso/Minghetti. From here it is only a short walk down Via Minghetti, left on Via delle Vergine, to Via delle Muratte and finally the Trevi Fountain. To visit Vatican City, begin with the #8 tram to Torre Argentina. From here you can take any number of buses to Vatican, #40 being one of the most prevalent. Take #40 bus (toward Piazza Pia/San Angelo) for 3 steps. Exit at Traspontina/Conciliazione and walk down Via della Conciliazione – a great view of the Cupola. To reach the Colosseum, walk toward Viale di Trastevere (by way of Via di San Cosimato, then Via Emilia Morosini) and take the #3 bus from Via Girolamo Induno (toward Thorvaldsen). Exit after 8 stops at Colosseo. To get to the Spanish Steps (though it may be easier to walk from the Trevi Fountain – Via del Corso to Via dei Condotti), you may also want to try walking taking the #8 tram to Largo Torre Argentina and taking the #119 bus (toward Corso/Popolo) for 9 stops. If you like, stay on the #119 until the end of the line, you’ll come to Piazza del Popolo and be only a short walk from one of Rome’s beautiful parks, Villa Borghese. In the evening, when the church is lit up in all its glory, the café is a wonderful spot to enjoy an apertivo or digestivo, and the ever changing spectacle of activity in the piazza, which on weekend nights can include street theater of all kinds.

For decades, they have offered high quality Roman cuisine at low prices. The antipasto buffet is expansive and full of all the Roman specialities, perfectly prepared.
